Article 4 - Organizational Structure

4.1 | Board of Directors

The Board of Directors shall manage the responsibility of maintaining legal compliance for the organization. The BOD shall also be responsible for maintaining official organizational policy, and to keep the Bylaws updated. The BOD shall furthermore be responsible for maintaining any required legal and financial records.

4.2 | Anchor Circle

The Anchor Circle shall manage the day-to-day operational requirements of the organization.

4.3 | Wisdom Council

The Wisdom Council shall serve as trusted advisors for the organization.

4.4 | Stewards Circle

The Stewards Circle shall be comprised of all members of the Board of Directors as well as all members of the Wisdom Council.

4.5 | Harmony Council

The Harmony Council shall attend to the harmony between the members of the organization and the community it serves.

4.6 | Leadership Accountability Policy

Any individual who fills a leadership role in the organization bears a unique honor and duty. In order to ensure that the power and influence that go along with being in a position of leadership is used for positive service, we adopt the following Leadership Accountability Policy and process.

Any individual fulfilling a leadership role within the organization must first commit to using their power in a positive way. If any member of the Stewards Circle (BOD or WC) determines that a leader is failing to uphold this commitment, that member is empowered to initiate a restorative process. The restorative process shall utilize the agreements and formal processes articulated by the Harmony Council.

While the Restorative Process in underway, the leader in question shall temporarily abstain from decision making and undertaking significant business or actions on behalf of the organization.

If the concerns raised by the member raising the concerns are not resolved through the Restorative Process, the Stewards Circle shall consider the removal of the leader from the organization, through a voting process with the majority prevailing.
